IAA Transportation · Hannover · 15–20 September 2026

What is real — and what is still demo?

Before IAA, we ask the questions. At IAA, we look for evidence. After IAA, we share what we found.

The working thesis

Transport technology is moving fast. Commercial reality moves at a different speed.

At IAA Transportation 2026, TPM is looking beyond launch headlines and polished demos. We want to understand what can actually move from concept into industrialisation, deployment and repeatable commercial use.

Our lens is practical: technology readiness, ownership, interfaces, delivery control and the execution discipline required to close the gap between promise and execution.

Three tracks at IAA

Where we will look for evidence

01 · NEW PLAYERS

Who are the new players — and how are they changing the game?

We are looking at new OEMs, suppliers and startups — and whether faster development, software-first thinking, new vehicle architectures, vertical integration and different business models are beginning to change how the commercial vehicle industry competes.

02 · ELECTRIFICATION & ALTERNATIVE POWERTRAINS

What is truly production-ready and commercially realistic?

We will look across battery-electric vehicles, charging, electric trailers, hydrogen, fuel cells and hybrid solutions — separating mature applications from technology that is still mainly in demonstration or development.

03 · AUTONOMOUS DRIVING

Autonomous driving has been “almost here” for years. Where are we actually now?

We are looking at real deployment across ADAS and autonomous commercial vehicles — comparing established players with the startup scene, and controlled demonstrations with systems that can operate safely and repeatedly in real use.

What is real, what is still demo — and what is likely to matter commercially next?

Why TPM is at IAA

Execution becomes decisive when the environment gets demanding.

TPM Consulting works in demanding automotive and industrial environments where complex development has to move through interfaces, decisions and delivery into real-world execution.

That is why we look beyond the technology itself — at whether ownership is clear, interfaces are controlled and the work can actually be carried through.

Meet us in Hannover

Let us compare what you are seeing.

Are you bringing a new vehicle, powertrain, autonomous system or another relevant technology to Hannover?

Invite Veli-Matti to your stand or book a focused conversation during IAA.

One campaign, three phases

Before. During. After.

Before IAA

Ask the questions

We define the questions and assumptions worth testing before we arrive in Hannover.

At IAA

Look for evidence

We compare technology, operating models and delivery readiness with what is actually shown — and what is already working.

After IAA

Share what we found

We turn the observations into three practical insights on new players, alternative powertrains and autonomous driving.
